Clean sweep for Exeter at the Welsh Team Racing Championships 2016

On 3rd June, 19 sailors travelled up to Cardiff for the weekend to compete in the Welsh Team Racing Championships. With only one day of racing scheduled, Saturday dawned sunny and warm with very light winds. Although the lack of wind provided tricky conditions, Exeter pulled through and all three teams placed in the top 3 overall, with Exeter White taking first place and winning all their races. It was great to see windsurf legends, Matt Barton and Kieran Martin, making their debut appearances as team racers and winning their first event!

A big thank you to Nia Jones, Tim Riley and Robbie Robinson for helping out the Exeter teams. Thank you also to Cardiff Bay Yacht Club for hosting a brilliant event. A great way to round off the year with a fantastic result for Exeter.
