Blue, Black & Red all traveled to Bristol this weekend to compete in the Brew team racing event. On Saturday, all three teams put in a big shift with everyone competing in 8 races. Blue and Black managed to get into the gold fleet and Red into the Silver fleet. Sunday was a day of really tight racing for all the teams. Blue and Black both managed to get into semi-finals but after a few very tight races both just missed out on the finals. Black ended the weekend in 3rd and Blue in 4th. Exeter were the first and second university teams as the teams that came 1st and 2nd were made up of club and alumni racers. It was a very successful weekend for all teams with a lot of positives to take forward into the rest of the season.

Casuals ran as normal on Saturday with a trip to roadford. However, there were very strong winds which made the sailing challenging. We managed to take out one of our new Argos which was a great opportunity to teach less experienced sailors. Even with the challenging conditions, everyone had a great day and it was another very successful casuals trip.

Wednesday brings one of the best events in the EUSC social calendar, Christmas dinner. It’s a perfect opportunity for all club members, whether that be casuals or racers, to come together and celebrate the end of a great term.

Well done to everyone that competed this weekend and we hope you are all looking forward to Wednesday night!
