It’s Ladies Day at Lendy Cowes Week 2017 and our Keelboat team will be out in full force!

Leading our all U25 crew is Annabel Bates – helm of our J80 ‘Swallow’. Follow our progress here: https://www.lendycowesweek.co.uk/web/code/php/main_c.php…

First day of racing on Saturday brought with it light winds and strong tides, with most of our fleet hitting the shore we managed to get round to course with good speed and finish in fourth – a good platform for learning and improvement.

Sunday was incredibly windy and the Exeter team has a tough first windward rounding. Our improvement thought the day was phenomenal and the team really worked together in the tough conditions to maintain another fourth place.

Yesterday saw champagne sailing and the team were making great speed on the beats and despite a rocky start with the first few manoeuvres kept up with the front of the fleet and finished fifth in a close finish.

We are really excited to get our on the water today with our MUSTO branded boat and main sail – thank you so much for keeping us all warm and dry!! Excitement is also building for a Royal Southern Academy event this evening!
