Teams Black, Red & Yellow traveled up to Cardiff on Friday night for a weekend of team racing. They raced a total of 95 races with each team racing 8-11 times. Saturday was a day of perfect conditions. We managed to get in 6 races against very good current and alumni teams. On Sunday, conditions were less favourable and the teams had to wait till 11 am for some wind. All teams managed to get a few races in before the finals. Overall, it was a great event for the teams teaching them a lot on what they need to improve on for other events coming up this year.
Our first club race day took place on Sunday and was a great success! There was high quality and close racing from everyone that took part. This is an event that we want to incorporate more frequently in the clubs calendar.
A casual trip took place on Saturday. The colder less favourable conditions didn’t impact the success of the trip and everyone still had a lot of fun out on the water.
Another very busy but successful weekend for the club!
