This years Excalibur was the best in EUSC history!
From the sailors to the umpires and from the helpers to the race officer, everyone had a great weekend whilst getting a crazy amount of sailing in!
All the teams arrived on Friday night and enjoyed the first social of the Weekend.
Saturday morning brought the first day of racing as well as some sore heads. The weather conditions to start the day were perfect for team racing however, as the day continued the breeze picked up and all the teams were forced to change to cut downs. Even with this half an hour delay, we still managed to get 112 races in before the end of the day!
Saturday night brought the second social, all the teams enjoyed a BYOB curry and a trip to the student club, The Lemon Grove.
Sunday morning brought the second day of racing and the weather was still very good. The teams were split up into gold and silver fleets. The day was full of very exciting sailing with Lymington Legends getting the top spot after a very close final with WCSSS.
A huge thank you must go to Jonny Musgrove for organising the event so well and getting an exceptional number of races in.
