Congratulations to all these excellent Exeter sailors who all competed in the BUCS Fleet Racing this weekend.

With terrible Wind and Weather conditions on Saturday, it all came down to 4 races on Sunday. The pressure was therefore on the Exeter crews but they performed in a record breaking way, scoring 76 BUCS point over the 4 races on Sunday.

The Ladies team came in first overall and the Men’s team came in second overall. There were numerous outstanding performance over the day.

In the Fast Handicap, our teams were 4 out of the top five crews with Jessie Main & Millie Aldridge coming in first place in a 29er. Theo Williams & Jonny Musgrove came in 3rd in a Nacra 15.

In the Firefly fleet, James Hammett & Will Husband came in 2nd place in a very competitive field.

In the Slow Handicap fleet, Lainey Terkelsen & Emily Gent came in first position, winning every single race, an exceptional performance.

We are incredibly proud as a club of everyone that competed and there is a lot of promise after this first event of another fantastic year of racing in the club.

We would like to say a huge thank you to Admiral Trailers for whom, without their help, we would not have been able to get all our boats to the event.

We would also like to say a huge thank you to @exesails who provided us with the quality equipment needed to have been so successful this weekend.
